Spring Niche Series
“Pop it like it’s hot - Sizzling with Simon to a pop Arabic song” with Lebanese Simon (LB/US)
In this special online event, unique Raqs Sharki (bellydance) teachers from around the world come together to support women and families affected by the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon.
While dancing together in the RAQSoul Spring Niche Series we honor the roots of this art form, supporting the work of the Women’s Humanitarian Organization (PWHO), helping displaced women and communities rebuild safety and hope.
The teachers’ team features a selection of wonderful and unique artists of the community, niche voices with fresh inspiration, strong roots, and so much to share.
Lebanese Simon (Simon Sako) is a renowned dancer, instructor, and choreographer specializing in Lebanese Folk Dabke and Raqs Sharqi (belly dance). Born in Northern Lebanon, he is celebrated for his strong, emotional, and authentic performance style, serving as artistic director of the Al Awtar Entertainment Group.
In this workshop, we’ll move to an energetic, upbeat pop Arabic song in Simon’s unmistakable signature.
If you’re ready to have fun and dance full-out, you’ll love this one!
Free for members, 40 EUR for guests.
With our workshop series, we are supporting humanitarian relief efforts in Lebanon through PWHO by donating 10€ for every workshop participant, whether you join as a guest or through your RAQSoul membership.
If you’d like to extend your support even further, you can make an additional voluntary contribution on raqsoul.com/membership.
